Overview

Situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River and surrounded by the savannah plains, Samburu National Reserve is home to rare wildlife such as the Grevy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulate Giraffe, Generuk and the Beisa Oryx. Together, they are known as the Samburu Special Five.

Samburu National Reserve continues to overflow with awesomeness and it’s here that Kamunyak, the miracle lioness that adopted the baby oryx called home. The park also plays host to Leopards, Lions and Cheetahs. To top it all, the park boasts over 450 bird species.
